For the keen walker, or those who prefer a more gentle ramble there are numerous well marked footpaths and bridleways including the Macmillan walkway which passes close to our premises.
For the more adventurous there is clay pigeon shooting and go karting at the Southern Counties Shooting Ground only 4 miles away. Golf, horse riding and fishing can all be arranged locally.
The seaside town of Weymouth, the host of the sailing events in the 2012 Olympics is 18 miles away. Ferries to the Channel Islands and the continent sail regularly from here.
If you prefer the more natural coastline, the villages of Abbotsbury with its Nationally acclaimed swannery and West Bexington a little further west offer peaceful shingle beaches and perfect opportunites for beach casting. To the East along the coast lies Lulworth Cove with the famous Durdle Door Rock formation and acres of National Trust land including the Lost village of Tyneham.
With access to the A303 5 miles away we are ideally located for those wishing to explore inland with the Historic cities of Bath, Bristol, Wells and Salisbury all within an hours drive. For those who enjoy the outdoors, to our east and west respectively are the National Parks of The New Forest and Exmoor, both with their unique native ponies, wildlife and excellent cycling and walking.
